Missy Schiller is a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner

A seasoned classroom teacher with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, Missy works one-on-one with students from Kindergarten through Middle School.

My expertise includes reading readiness, phonics, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and writing. As a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, I use Wilson materials to help students develop phonemic awareness and word attack strategies. And no meeting is complete without a spirited game to reinforces skills, or a story to practice encoding and decoding skills. I pride myself on developing specialized and individualized lessons based on each student’s personality, their grade level, and the overall goals.

In my practice:

• I work one-on-one with students who are having difficulty learning how to read

• I work with both private and public school students

• I always coordinate with the student’s school to ensure that lessons target appropriate skills

• I incorporate games into instruction to reinforce skills and provide additional practice

• I can have successful one-on-one meetings via Zoom
